From Thursday, December 9th to Saturday, December 11th, the Varsity Boys Basketball team participated in the Van Horn Basketball Tournament. The Warrior's time at the tournament started with back-to-back wins. The first coming against Balmorhea by a score of 55-34 (Leading scorer: #30 Hector Perez with 18 points)!

The Warriors would go on to face Dell City on Saturday morning, winning by a score of 36-24 (Leading scorer: #30 Hector Perez with 8 points)! On Friday night the Varsity Basketball team would drop their Semifinal game to the Van Horn Eagles 38-49.

On Friday evening the Warriors faced off against the Ft. Stockton Sophomore team for 3rd place in the Van Horn Basketball Tournament. The Warriors would defeat the Panthers handily by a score of 68-36 (Leading scorer: #0 Noah Ayala with 20 points, #4 Nathan Stubbs with 17 points, and #15 Santiago Nieto with 12 points)! #15 Santiago Nieto and #3 Daniel Brito both received All-Tournament honors! The Varsity Basketball team now holds a record of 9-5! Details of their next game are TBD.
