The ICS Varsity Women's Basketball team participated in the Irvin Holiday Tournament from December 28th-20th.
The Lady Warriors opened up play against the Gadsden Panthers, losing by a score of 21-42. #25 McKenzie Hart had 10 rebounds in the contest. Game 2, had Immanuel taking on the Chaparral Lobos, where the Lady Warriors would win by a score of 37-24. #25 Hart had 12 points and 13 rebounds in the contest. #4 Juliana Hernandez had 10 points and 5 steals. #5 Sofia Gomez had 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals of her own. In the Consolation Championship the Lady Warriors were defeated by the Alamogordo Tigers, 22-57.
#5 Sofia Gomez was named to the All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of the tournament.
The Lady Warriors now sit at 15-4 going into 2023. Their next game will be against the Van Horn Eagles in the Dave Frazier Memorial Gym on January 3rd at 6 PM!
