Our Varsity Men's and Women's track team traveled to Tucson, AZ, to participate in the Willie Williams Classic at the University of Arizona on March 24th and 25th!

For the Men, Junior Josiah Johnson took 1st in the 300m hurdles, 110m hurdles, and the 400 meter dash. He set a new PR for himself in the 400m prelims, with a time of 50.19, and the prelims of the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.57. In the 300m hurdles finals Johnson set a new PR of 38.10. Johnson also took 3rd in Long Jump with a distance of 21' 7.75". Junior Israel Quintana took 11th in the 3200m run, setting a new PR of 10:07.82. Quintana PR'd in the 800m dash as well, with a time of 2:08.90.

On the Women's side, Junior Aliana Elkabchi PR'd in the 100m dash (14.97) and 200m dash (32.71). Freshman Yareli Lopez set a new PR for herself in the 100m dash (14.43) and the 400m dash (1:11.73). Senior Sofia Gomez set a season record of 27' 3.75" in shot put.

Josiah Johnson will prepare for this weekend's 95th Annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, while the rest of the Varsity Track team will prepare for a local meet.
