The Warriors have now started District play 2-0 after two dominant wins over the Amarillo Collegiate Eagles. The Warriors defeated the Eagles by a score of 76-33 on Friday night, and 76-22 on Saturday morning!
Friday's matchup saw 3 Warriors score in double-figures: Ben Story with 22 points, Josiah Johnson with 18 points, and Hector Perez with 16 points. Johnson completed a double-double earning 10 rebounds on the night, while Perez turned in an impressive 7 rebounds, 9 assists, and 3 steals. Story added 5 steals to his 22.
On Saturday morning, Story once again led all scorers with 21 points while Perez contributed 20 points off of 4 threes. Perez earned a double-double by dishing out 11 assists. Noah Ayala was the leading rebounder with 7 rebounds.
The Warriors will travel to Van Horn next Tuesday to face the Eagles, before welcoming District opponent Dallas Academy to Dave Frazier Memorial next Friday and Saturday.
