Back on August 30th, the Warriors traveled to Marfa, TX, to meet the Sanderson Eagles for their first game of the 2024 season. After trailing by only a touchdown abour halfway through the 2nd quarter, the Warriors would see Sanderson pull away, winning by a score of 12-57.

Alam Canales ran for 65 yards and both of the Warriors touchdowns. Ismael Gutierrez had 5 tackles on the night, while Brayden Reyna and Alam Canales each had 3 tackles. Canales also tacked on 1 tackle for loss and a forced fumble. Benjamin Frecka added two interceptions to his stat sheet to round out the Warrior defensive night. 

The Warriors will take on the Sierra Blanca Vaqueros in Sierra Blanca on September 6th, at 6:30 PM!
