The Immanuel Christian Warriors closed out Homecoming Week in dramatic fashion, edging the El Paso Classical Academy Lions in a five-set battle (25–23, 25–8, 21–25, 21–25, 15–11) inside Dave Frazier Memorial Gym. The win pushed the Warriors to a strong late-season mark as they continue to show resilience in high-pressure matches.

Senior Lucia Muñoz anchored the attack with 10 kills on .320 hitting, while sophomore Addison Kern added 7 kills and 16 digs for a complete two-way effort. Junior Carla Sousa-travieso chipped in 6 kills, 10 digs, and an outstanding 7 aces, leading the Warriors' serving unit that produced 25 total aces. Sophomore Jade Garcia matched Sousa-travieso's net presence, posting 6 kills along with 4 total blocks to tie for the team lead.

Sophomore setter Lilia Ramirez continued to pace the offense efficiently with 23 assists and 5 aces, keeping the Warriors balanced through extended rallies. Muñoz and Escobar also contributed from the service line with 8 and 9 points, respectively, while the team hit .057 overall against a scrappy EPLA defense.

Defensively, Yareli Lopez led the back row with 15 digs and added 16 serve receptions without an error, while Kern's 16 digs and Sousa-travieso's 10 kept long rallies alive. Up front, Muñoz and Garcia each recorded 4 blocks, slowing the Lions' momentum during key stretches of the deciding set.

After jumping out to a two-set lead, the Warriors regrouped after dropping the next two tight sets. They responded with steady defense and timely serving in the fifth, pulling away 15–11 to seal the Homecoming victory.

The Warriors will now turn their attention to their next matchup — a home contest against the Hanks Knights on Tuesday, October 14th, once again inside Dave Frazier Memorial Gym.
