The Immanuel Christian Warriors hosted the Hanks Knights on Monday, October 14th, inside Dave Frazier Memorial Gym, falling in a competitive four-set contest (15–25, 25–11, 13–25, 26–28). After a dominant second-set win, the Warriors pushed the Knights deep into extras in the fourth before narrowly coming up short.
Junior Carla Sousa-Travieso and sophomore Jade Garcia led the Warriors' offense with 7 kills each, combining for 14 of the team's 26 total kills. Aubrie Donahue added 5 kills, while sophomore Addison Kern added 5 and Maria Cordero contributed 2 to round out a balanced attack.
Sophomore Lilia Ramirez commanded the offense with 25 assists, keeping the Warriors in rhythm throughout the night. At the service line, Cordero added 11 points on a perfect 100% serving clip. Garcia also contributed 9 points and 2 aces, helping ICS maintain pressure on serve.
Defensively, senior Yareli Lopez anchored the back row with 19 digs and a team-high 30 receptions, while Sousa-Travieso and Kern combined for 27 digs and 43 receptions of their own. The Warriors finished with 66 total digs and 75 receptions, showcasing steady defensive discipline against a strong Hanks attack.
At the net, Donahue and Garcia each recorded a block, while Cordero added a block assist to round out the team's two total blocks. Despite the loss, the Warriors demonstrated grit and late-match composure, trading points down to the wire in the decisive fourth set before the Knights closed out the match 28–26.
