Playing under the lights at Chapin High School for Homecoming, the Immanuel Christian Warriors traded blows with the El Paso Leadership Academy Leaders before ultimately falling, 52–36, on Friday, October 3.
Immanuel Christian stacked up 324 total yards (181 rushing, 143 passing) and found the end zone five times. Junior quarterback Brayden Reyna delivered a true dual-threat outing—24 rushes for 139 yards and 2 TDs while completing 13 of 18 passes for 125 yards. Senior Benjamin Frecka added production everywhere: 3-for-4 passing for 18 yards and a TD, 28 rushing yards with a score, and 4 receptions.
Senior Aiden Kiniery provided the night's lone receiving touchdown among his 4 catches for 21 yards. Jeremiah Alarcon stretched the field with 2 receptions for 46 yards, and senior Ismael Gutierrez hauled in 4 for 37 and handled kickoff duties (3 kickoffs, long 40). Senior Jonas Laffan chipped in 10 rushing yards and a TD and added a 13-yard reception.
Defensively, the Warriors created negative plays and swarmed to the ball. Reyna led with 6 tackles (1 TFL), Alarcon posted 5 tackles, and Gutierrez added 5 more. Seniors Adam Garduna, Jonah Duran, Kiniery, and Laffan each recorded tackles for loss as ICS totaled 5 TFLs on the night. On special teams, Garduna gave the Warriors field position with 5 kickoff returns for 41 yards.
Despite the loss, the Warriors' offense showed balance and resilience throughout the second half, stringing together multi-score drives behind a physical ground game and timely throws.
This Homecoming matchup also served as Immanuel Christian's final non-conference game.
