The Immanuel Christian Warriors' season came to a close Thursday evening in Keene, TX, as they fell to the Providence Prep Rams of Belton in four sets (18–25, 25–16, 19–25, 25–27) in the TCAF Tournament Semifinal at Chisholm Trail Academy.
Despite the loss, the Warriors battled with composure and grit, responding after a slow start to take the second set convincingly before narrowly dropping the final two frames. The Warriors complete the 2025 campaign with a record of
Senior Lucia Muñoz led the Warriors offensively with 8 kills, hitting .200 on 25 attempts, while sophomore Maria Cordero added 7 kills on 35 swings. Junior Carla Sousa-Travieso contributed 4 kills, and sophomore Jade Garcia added 5 kills with strong play at the net.
Sophomore Lilia Ramirez anchored the offense with 24 assists. Muñoz was also key from the line, finishing with 18 points and 8 aces, while senior Yareli Lopez added 7 points and 2 assists while leading in receptions with 28.
Defensively, Lopez and Ramirez shared the team lead with 16 digs each, while Aubrie Donahue had 10 digs and Sousa-Travieso added 9 digs and 15 receptions. Cordero and Muñoz combined for 13 digs, and Garcia and Muñoz each recorded a block.
Providence Prep went on to lose the TCAF title game in 3 straight sets to Grace Academy out of Georgetown, TX. TCAF All-State selections take place later this week.
