The Immanuel Christian Warriors Varsity Tennis team faced a tough challenge on January 24th as they took on the Burges Mustangs in a competitive matchup. While the Warriors showed great effort and determination, Burges came out on top, handing ICS a hard-fought defeat.

Individual Highlights

In Boys' Singles, Adrian Carrillo secured a strong 2-0 victory, showcasing his skill and composure on the court. Despite their efforts, Patricio Jimenez (0-2), Gael Valenzuela (1-2), and Gabe Torres (2-0) fell in close matches.

On the Girls' Singles side, Ana Terrazas delivered an impressive 2-0 win, demonstrating her consistency and aggressive play. Meanwhile, Nicole Haro (0-2), Kristen Duarte (1-2), and Jeual Castruita (0-2) put up valiant efforts but fell short against tough opposition.

In Boys' Doubles, Adrian Carrillo and Gabe Torres teamed up in a competitive match but ultimately lost 2-6, 3-6, while Roman Gomez and Gerard Flores fell 2-6, 0-6.

For the Girls' Doubles, the duo of Grace Johnson and Alyna Rico took their match to a decisive third set but came up just short in a 3-6, 6-3, 7-10 battle. Kristen Duarte and Valeria Quevedo (1-6, 2-6) and Nicole Haro and Jeual Castruita (1-8) also fought hard but were unable to secure wins.

The highlight of the day came in Mixed Doubles, where Grace Johnson and Gael Valenzuela delivered an 8-4 victory, showcasing their chemistry and strategic play to earn a well-deserved win for the Warriors.
