On February 7th, Immanuel Christian Warriors closed out their regular season at home against the Cathedral Fighting Irish, led by Hall of Fame Coach Tony Harper in the second-to-last game of his legendary career. The Warriors battled hard but fell short, losing 72-48.
Cathedral took control early, jumping out to a 26-9 lead in the first quarter. Immanuel Christian fought back in the second, but Cathedral maintained a 43-22 advantage at halftime. The Warriors showed resilience in the second half, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.
Noah Ayala led the Warriors with 13 points, shooting 5-for-9 from the field and adding eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Alan Valenzuela also contributed 13 points, making three three-pointers and shooting 100% from the free-throw line. Jonas Laffan added six points while shooting 75% from the field. Jaden Ortiz and Jayson Chang each had four points, with Chang hitting one three-pointer. Carlos Acuña and G. Marquez rounded out the scoring with six and two points, respectively.
Defensively, the Warriors totaled 19 rebounds, 13 assists, and nine steals. Carlos Acuña led the team with six steals and five assists. Noah Ayala added two steals and two blocks, while Jayson Chang recorded two assists.
With the regular season now complete, the Warriors shifted their focus to the TCAF State Playoffs, looking to make a strong postseason run.
