We are excited to share some news about the future of our athletic and academic programs at Immanuel Christian School. Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, ICS will transition from our current athletic association, the Texas Christian Athletic Fellowship (TCAF), and officially join the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) for Varsity-level competition.

This decision follows a season of extraordinary blessing and growth in Warrior Athletics. Over the past five years, ICS has won 11 TCAF State Championships across our Varsity sports programs, in addition to numerous District titles. Our student-athletes have also achieved countless individual State Championships in Track & Field, Cross Country, Tennis, and Golf. Most notably, since 2020, eight ICS athletes have gone on to compete at the collegiate level—including at the NCAA, JUCO, and NAIA levels, with two earning NCAA Division I opportunities. These milestones are a testament to the talent, hard work, and Christ-centered character of our students, coaches, and community.

As we look to the future, joining TAPPS represents an exciting new chapter. TAPPS is one of the largest and most well-respected private school leagues in Texas, serving over 250 member schools. This organization offers a well-established structure for competition not only in athletics but also in academics, fine arts, and student leadership. Our students will now have access to academic meets, art and music contests, debate tournaments, and other enriching experiences that align with our mission of whole-student development.

Athletically, TAPPS will allow ICS to explore expanded sports offerings and competitive opportunities that were not previously available to us. This includes the potential for new team sports, individual disciplines, and seasonal events—creating more avenues for student involvement, skill development, and school representation on a broader stage.

We are deeply grateful for our time in TCAF and for the relationships and memories we've built over the years. As we prepare for this transition, we do so with full confidence that joining TAPPS will further equip our students to pursue excellence, honor God, and make an impact in every arena they enter.
