Eddie Sinegal Named Cross Country and Track & Field Coach at ICS

We are proud to announces that former UTEP Miner and Andress Eagle Eddie Sinegal is joining ICS Athletics as our Head Coach for Cross Country and Track & Field. Sinegal will be overseeing both our Junior High and High School programs. We expect Coach Sinegal to contribute to several other programs here at ICS, including basketball and football.

A standout athlete from Andress High School, Coach Sinegal was a three-year varsity starter in both football and basketball. On the gridiron, he totaled 2,560 receiving yards and 29 touchdowns, earning First Team All-District and All-City honors in both 2012 and 2013. He also competed in the Greater El Paso Football Showcase All-Star Game, where he made key plays for the West Side team. On the basketball court, he helped lead the Andress Eagles to a #1 state ranking in 4A during his senior season, while collecting All-City and All-District honors across multiple seasons.

Coach Sinegal went on to play Division I football at UTEP, appearing in 20 games over two seasons as a wide receiver. As a freshman, he ranked third on the team in both receptions and receiving yards, including a career-high 102-yard performance against Louisiana Tech. He also contributed on special teams and had multiple starts throughout his collegiate career.

Coach Sinegal brings a wealth of playing experience, a competitive mindset, and a deep understanding of what it takes to excel as an athlete.

When asked about his mindset and expectations as a coach at Immanuel Christian, Sinegal said, "As I begin this new coaching experience at ICS, my heart is filled with overwhelming gratitude and joy. I truly see this opportunity as a calling from God—a chance to not only help students grow as athletes but to also walk alongside them in their spiritual and personal journeys. My prayer is that through this role, I can reflect the love of Christ in all I do, encouraging each student to realize their God-given potential, both on and off the field. I'm excited to serve, to lead with humility, and to create a Christ-centered environment where every athlete knows they are deeply valued and loved. It's an honor to be part of a mission that glorifies God through excellence, teamwork, and faith." Coach Sinegal continued, "At ICS, I hope to accomplish much more than just winning —I want to build a program that competes at a high level while glorifying God in everything we do. My vision is to create an environment where excellence and faith walk hand in hand, showing our athletes and community that you can serve the one true God wholeheartedly and still compete with passion, discipline, and intensity. I aim to develop strong teams that pursue victory with integrity, but even more importantly, I want to make disciples of men and women—young people who will grow in their faith, character, and leadership. I'm here to serve, to mentor, and to help shape athletes who reflect Christ both on and off the field. If we can honor God, build each other up, and compete with purpose, then we've already won."

Warrior Nation, join us in welcoming Eddie Sinegal to ICS Athletics!
