Warriors Push Bel Air to Five Sets in Road Showdown

Immanuel Christian's Varsity Volleyball team went the distance on Tuesday night, taking the Bel Air Highlanders to a full five sets in a thrilling road matchup. The Warriors battled throughout before ultimately falling 23-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-22, 10-15.

Senior Yareli Lopez powered the offense with 12 kills on 42 swings, while fellow senior Lucia Munoz added 8 kills and chipped in 3 service aces. Jade Garcia and Carla Sousa-Travieso each contributed 6 kills to keep the attack balanced.

From the service line, the Warriors tallied 13 aces, led by sophomore Lilia Ramirez with 5. Ramirez also ran the offense as the team's primary setter, dishing out 29 assists.

Defensively, the Warriors were anchored by Lopez's 22 digs, Sousa's 21 digs, and sophomore Addison Kern's 19 digs. Lopez (27 receptions) and Sousa (26 receptions) also shouldered the bulk of serve-receive duties against Bel Air's tough serving.

Despite dropping the deciding fifth set, the Warriors showed resilience and poise in storming back from a two-set deficit to even the match.
