The Immanuel Christian Warriors Cross Country program competed on Friday night, August 22, at the Eastwood Stars & Strides Twilight Invitational—one of El Paso's premier meets under the lights.

In the Varsity Boys Division, sophomore Jonathan Munoz led the way for ICS, finishing 91st overall with a time of 18:38.87. Fellow sophomore John Urrieta recorded a breakout race, setting a new personal record of 19:55.80 to place 136th. Senior Christian Dulanto crossed the line in 145th place with a time of 20:16.29, while senior Sebastian Montes finished in 183rd place at 22:45.03.

In the Men's Open Division, junior Jeremiah Gomez represented the Warriors, running a time of 25:04.39 to finish 158th overall.

The Warriors also had representation in the Women's Open Division, as sophomore Carolyn Figueroa clocked a time of 36:37.47, finishing 146th.

The Stars & Strides Invitational gave the Warriors valuable experience in a high-profile meet atmosphere, highlighted by Urrieta's new PR and strong efforts across both the Varsity and Open Divisions.
