Immanuel Christian returned to Dave Frazier Memorial Gym on Monday, September 22nd, for a tough test against the Da Vinci Dragons. The Warriors showed stretches of strong play but ultimately fell in four sets, 19-25, 25-23, 14-25, 16-25.
Carla Sousa-Travieso led the Warriors' attack with 12 kills, while Lucia Muñoz followed closely with 11. Jade Garcia was a key contributor as well, finishing with 10 kills on the night. Addison Kern added 7 kills, giving the Warriors a steady presence offensively.
Setting duties were anchored by Lilia Ramirez, who distributed the ball effectively with 34 assists, helping keep the Warriors' offense balanced. Ramirez also added 8 digs and 2 service aces to round out a solid performance.
At the service line, Kern was dependable, scoring 4 points with 4 aces, while Aubrie Donahue chipped in 3 points and 1 ace. Sousa-Travieso provided additional firepower from the line with 4 points of her own.
Defensively, Yareli Lopez had a strong outing in the back row, recording 15 digs, while Sousa-Travieso tallied 13.Â
Although the Warriors struggled with consistency against a scrappy Da Vinci squad, their ability to battle back in the second set and extend rallies highlighted their growth.Â
