Warriors Dominate Home Opener Against Harmony Innovation

Immanuel Christian's Varsity Volleyball team marked their first home game of the season with a commanding sweep of the Harmony Innovation Wolves on Friday, September 5th. In front of the home crowd at Dave Frazier Memorial Gym, the Warriors set the tone early and never looked back, taking the match 25–11, 25–7, 25–7.

The offense came alive as the Warriors tallied 26 total kills while hitting .224 as a team. Junior Carla Sousa-Travieso led the way at the net with 7 kills on 18 swings, while sophomore Jade Garcia followed closely with 6 kills and an impressive .364 hitting percentage. Sophomore Addison Kern and senior Lucia Munoz each contributed 5 kills, with Munoz hitting .625 efficiency on limited attempts. Setter Lilia Ramirez orchestrated the attack brilliantly, handing out 23 assists while also adding 2 kills of her own.

From the service line, ICS was relentless. The Warriors produced 19 aces as a team, led by Kern's 5 and Sousa-Travieso's 6, with Ramirez and senior Yareli Lopez each chipping in 2 more. That serving pressure kept the Wolves off balance all night, forcing errors and creating scoring runs.

Defensively, the Warriors controlled the backcourt with 18 total digs. Lopez anchored the effort with 5, while Sousa-Travieso added 4 and Kern chipped in 3. In serve receive, Lopez led the team with 5 receptions, while Sousa-Travieso was steady with 6.

With their first home victory secured in dominant fashion, the Warriors showed both their depth and balance, getting contributions across the roster.

The Warriors will return to Dave Frazier Memorial Gym on Tuesday, September 9th, when they host the Chapin Huskies.
